So... Despite the weather, my stop in Kansas City was fantastic! I cruised into downtown and met up with Tony, who surprised me with news that I wouldn't have to sleep on a couch, but had a hotel room to stay in downtown. That was great! We shopped around the City Market, grabbed some food and then explored town a little bit.
Kansas City is pretty cool... Great public parks and whatnot. We went to Gates for BBQ - Good, but a little too much chili powder in the sauce. Glad I got to enjoy some real KC food. Although, this Southern boy is pretty sure that the KC BBQ doesn't hold it's own against some good Southern pulled pork.
We went out to 303 and Missie B's with some of Tony's friends. I had a pretty good time. Kansas City boys are definitely good people - and cute.
Today's weather was MUCH better. Sunny and a little warmer! YAY!
